As a freelance writer, I am dedicated to telling stories that explore the intersection of environmental and social justice, particularly in the context of water resources.
I am currently pursuing a graduate degree focused on natural resources and environmental science journalism at the University of Montana (UM). Although I am from Idaho, I came to this program byway an international newsroom in Medellín, Colombia. I have been published in Mongabay, Business Insider, High Country News, and Entrepreneur amongst others.
I currently teach an undergraduate course on information literacy at UM entitled “Calling BS”. My long-term goal after I graduate my masters in May 2025 is to become a journalist who examines the connection of people and place. I aim to do this through stories that look at challenges being experienced on the landscape amid rapid environmental and social change.
